Modes of tilting carpets and carpet panels
Methods of detecting warping of carpets and carpet panels
To detect the tilting of the carpet and carpet along the length of the carpet, we can fold our carpet or carpet in half so that the edges are on top of each other. If we see that the length of the carpet and the carpet panel are not the same in both directions and have differences, then our carpet is probably bent lengthwise.
We can measure the width of the carpet at different points of our carpet and carpet panel to detect the carpet and carpet panel tilting. If different values for the width are seen at any point, it is most likely that our carpet is warped in width.
Reasons and causes of carpet and carpet panel tilting
In general, there are 3 general factors that can lead to the tilting of your carpets and rugs. These general factors are:
The first and main factor is the unbalanced and different intensities of weaving by carpet weavers and weavers. That is, while weaving a row of carpets and rugs, the carpet weaver uses different powers to pull the rug, sometimes with a high power and sometimes with a low power.
The next important reason that can lead to warping of carpets and rugs is the weaving of one by several people. If the weaving operation is done by several people, especially if a part is woven by men and a part is woven by women, because the strength of different people is different, this factor can lead to the tilting of your carpet and rug.
Another factor that can occur in rare cases is the use of defective or non-standard carpet hangers. If your rug is uneven in width and height and its different parts are not in harmony, it is possible that you will suffer from warping during weaving.
The next important reason for the occurrence of this problem is that there was not enough care during the drawing and the pieces were loose or tight in some places.
Improper pulling down can also be one of the reasons for the tilting of your carpets and rugs. The weaver performs pulling down when the height of the woven carpet has reached such a level that it is not possible to continue weaving or it is very difficult. Pulling down is a very delicate and delicate task, and if it is not done correctly and properly, it will definitely lead to major defects for your carpet and rug, including warping.
Solutions to prevent warping of carpets and rugs
Try to do the brushing with the same strength while weaving. It is possible that at the beginning of the session, when you have more energy, you will perform the push-up with more power, and gradually, when your energy decreases, you will reduce your push-up power. So it is better when you are tired and your energy is reduced, rest a little and start knitting again.
As much as possible, try to weave a carpet and a carpet panel by a single person. If this is not possible, the people who perform the weaving should try to coordinate their power of defiring so that defiring is done with the same energy.
Do not use non-standard hangers and in colloquial terms crooked and baggy! Always use standard, correct and healthy tools.
Try to pull the buckets in harmony with each other. Don’t make the chelas too tight or too loose. If you don’t have enough skills in the work of drawing, try to leave this work to a skilled and experienced person. Another important point that unfortunately most people do while weaving is that they pull the strands with their hands. This is completely wrong and very dangerous, and it will lead to many damages to the carpet, such as the width of our carpets and carpets becoming narrow and crooked.
When pulling down, try to do the work carefully and patiently. Do not forget to measure the different parts when pulling down. According to your weaving method, which can be Turkish or Persian, do the pulling down, and finally, if you do not have enough skills to do this, refrain from doing it and leave the work to an expert.
